UL FOOTBALL: Cajuns’ final three home games to be broadcast by Cox

Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns will now have all three of their remaining home games televised after the athletic department reached a deal with Cox 4 to televise the Nov. 1 homecoming game vs. FIU. The Cajuns home games vs. UTEP on Nov. 8 and vs. Middle Tennessee on Dec. 3 are scheduled to be televised by ESPN+ and aired in Louisiana on CST.

Cox 4 will go live from Cajun Field at 3:30pm with a 35 minute pre-game show. Jimmy Frederick will handle the play-by-play duties and Jeff Palermo is the color analyst.

The stage is set to “Sell-Out the Swamp” as Tyrell Fenroy goes for 1,000 yards in the Cajuns 1,000th game. Fenroy needs 30 rushing yards to reach 1,000 for the season, making him just the seventh player in NCAA history with four 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Saturday’s homecoming marks the 1,000th known football game dating back to then-Southwestern Louisiana Industrial Institute’s first game on Dec. 21, 1901.

The first 10,000 fans will receive a “Tyrell Towel” courtesy of Absolutely Irresistible Monogramming & Gifts and Tube Tech Services. Tickets remain for the game and can be purchased at the Cajundome Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling 337-262-8686 and online at ticketmasters.com.

The homecoming game will be replayed on CST on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at a time to be determined. CST has 1.5 million viewers in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, parts of Mississippi, Alabama, the Florida panhandle and Virginia.

Cox 4 reaches 311,000 customers in a 13 parish coverage area that includes Acadia, Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberia, Iberville, Lafayette, Livingston, St. James, St. Martin, St. Mary, Vermilion and West Baton Rouge.
